Info
Sysnul is a Windows desktop app written in C# on .NET 10. It is built around its own window chrome rather than the platform’s: the title bar, the tab rail, the notifications and the glass are all Sysnul’s, which is why they can be moved, recoloured and switched off in ways a normal window cannot.
The frosted-glass mode is the part I am most pleased with. Windows will happily tint a window from the desktop wallpaper, but it will not show you what is actually behind it — so Sysnul takes that picture itself, blurs it, and paints it under everything, leaving the text at full strength on top.
A key is a single string with a term on it. Free keys last a day; longer ones exist if you ask. A key is not tied to a machine, so reinstalling Windows or moving to a new computer does not cost you anything.
Sysnul checks in with the licence server while it runs, which is how a key that has been extended starts working immediately rather than at the next restart. If the server cannot be reached, it keeps running on the last check for up to a day.
I’m Fdiw. I build this on my own, mostly because I wanted a Windows app whose window behaved the way I wanted rather than the way the platform assumed.
It is not a framework and it is not trying to be. It is one application, kept small enough that every part of it can be understood, and it changes when there is a reason to change it rather than on a schedule.
Bugs, ideas and keys that have stopped working all go to the Discord. It is the only place I answer.
